Poo Poo Point is one of my favorite hikes in the area. The trail is moderately challenging but very rewarding, with beautiful views along the way. On a clear day, you can even spot the top of the Space Needle from the summit. Despite the intensity, it’s still family-friendly if you take your time. You’ll move a bit slower with kids, but it’s absolutely worth it—the experience turns into great quality time. I did this hike with my nieces (ages 9 to 16), and they all really enjoyed it.
Arrived in the afternoon and managed to find parking after waiting just a couple of minutes - got lucky! My strong suggestion: go early, especially on weekends. The trail is moderate in difficulty for me. If you go to the gym regularly and have decent cardio, you’ll be totally fine. It took me 1 hour to reach the top without stopping and 40 minutes to come back down. Make sure to pack enough water, hydration is a must, and bring some snacks to enjoy at the summit.
