Dr. Pontynen is absolutely wonderful! His knowledge, experience, and "bedside manner" with patients is unparalleled in my opinion. Patient, kind, excellent staff....can't say enough about this!
I had a bridge for many years and one day I broke a tooth that had a previous root canal.I did not want to damage any more teeth since I didn't have many left of my own.Dr.Pontynen explained the benefits of going with an implant to help me keep my bridge.I thought it would be a difficult thing to go through but I was nicely surprised.Everything healed well and I got an even nicer bridge than before.Now I send my friends that don't want partial dentures to see him.Dr. Pontynen's staff is very nice and courteous and his chairs... read more
Dr. Pontynen treated us very kindly and did a great job. The extractions were really clean and fast. He did a wonderful job with my fiance's front teeth which were extremely discolored. He made you feel relaxed and well taken care of.
Dr Pontynen, gave me a detailed view of what treatment was needed in order of priority and educated me on what was going on with my teeth. When I went to the lab to get my tooth matched perfectly (he sugested sinse it was close to where I live) the lab assistant said he was one of two doctors that she would take her family to in the bay area. that was impresive cosidering her office was off of union square in San Francisco with lots of dental traffic.I cant even tell which front tooth is a crown, that was partially her doing... read more
I have been educated and found a new friend. Dr Pontynen is very gentle and caring. He has bent over backwards to help myself and my friends. The money I have saved by his work will be with me a long time. He has worked magic with my teeth looks and function; Highly recommended.
My life has changed. After a botched job with another dentist, resulting in pain, I was fortunate to find Dr. Pontynen and his wonderful assistant, Wendy. By the time I got to Dr. Pontynen I was thoroughly frightened of dentists. I was in pain because the teeth on top did not match those on the bottom and so they would strike each other. As a result I already had one root canal and had I not found Dr. Pontynen I'm sure there would have more, if not even loss of teeth.
