Re: Ok Experience The service is fantastic. We had an excellent server who was attentive and helpful. The food was pretty good as well though a few others in our party did not love what they had chosen as it was slightly bland. Mine however (a fish dish) was excellent. Hot food, good service, and reasonable priced. Oh yes, and the view is pretty good if you are close to the window.
Pontis Grill The first time we went to Pontis we were just amazed at the quality of the food and service. The second time repeated the first, and we were happy to show off this gem to our out-of-town visitors. However, the last time we went it felt rushed and not at the top of its game. For the price we expect good service and great food. Maybe it was an off night, but we have not been back since.
An Overlooked Gem. The crab rolls are to die for. They have a perfect amount of heat that surprises you. The fish specials are always amazing, and I have even had a fantastic steak here. It's location is a bit of an odd spot by the Fremont bridge, but it gives it a great view of the locks.
seafood next to the fremont bridge yes, this restaurant lies next to the fremont bridge, so while eating on the patio, you can watch the peaceful boats pass by. that is what i would consider an enjoyable, peaceful evening. even just sitting at the bar, one can amuse yourself by chatter with the regulars or the bartender. and the bar has my favorite riesling from the st. michelle chateau. absolutely delicious. the food, the salmon in particular, is incredible.

The kitchen in action plating our refreshingly crisp and delicious Baby Iceberg Wedge Salad with Green Goddess, Mini Heirloom Tomatoes, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Oregon Blue, Shaved Radish, and Micro Greens.
Overall, three stars. Food: OK, but nothing amazing. View/setting/atmosphere on the back patio overlooking the canal: now that rates five stars. Service: two stars. Interesting currents at play here. Today was a nice, sunny day here in Seattle so when we made a reservation, we requested a table on the back patio.
