don't even get me started about the owner... a real piece of work. Just keep in mind that integrity and kindness are NOT on the forefront of most of their workers, most likely because of the behavior they see by the owner. I recommend just avoiding and finding somewhere nearby.

Great food at Ponds Lodge in Island Park, ID! I ordered the fish tacos and they were the bomb: blackened white fish on corn tortillas with avocado, cheddar, slaw, a creamy drizzle, and a side of pineapple pico. They're also a great gluten-free option, which is hard to find in the area. The poutine was super flavorful, piled with tender shredded beef, gravy, and melty cheese over crispy fries. The wings are great too. Definitely worth a stop if you're in Island Park!

My family has eaten at Ponds Lodge a couple of times. The food is mediocre, but the guy who owns it is anti-family and rude. I wasn't impressed with how he treats his customers. There are better restaurants where they don't act like they're doing you a favor by serving you food.

The room was nice except that the mattress was hard and lumpy. That you rent the room but then also have to rent the key is absurd! The website and literature say the key must be returned in person to receive the refund, and to return the night before if leaving before opening. Summer hours open at 8 am. We checked out at 8:02 am Sunday, 9/13, which is still Summer, but the office was still closed. The check-in clerk stated they would open at 8 am. She obviously lied.
