About this business

Diners can listen to the light jazz music that plays overhead as they enjoy fish, pasta and seafood in this open-air dining room. The menu advertises Dungeness Crab Cakes as one of the most popular items. Another favorite is the Pasta Vincenzo, which is a flavorful blend of whitefish, shrimp, scallops and mussels served over fettuccini in a white cream sauce. The restaurant also offers daily lunch and kids' specials. The service is outstanding and dinner reservations are recommended.

fried calamari, ambiance, service – I liked the romantic ambiance of this touristic restaurant. It felt like being in a authentic Italian Trattoria. We started with a delicious fresh Manhattan chowder and fritto misto (really tasty and light), all accompanied by the traditional sourdough bread. My hubby order a fresh crab linguine, really tasti and I had the three grilled fish which was the only disappointment of the dinner. The fish were obviously frozen and really greasy like if they were fried instead of grilled. Other tha... read more

Charming dining on the Wharf – This is a little place right on Jefferson that has tasty eats. Italian cuisine w/ seafood abundant, it's quite tasty for the price. I had been there over 4 years ago & the place is still the same -- red & white checkered table cloths, delightful service, dim lighting. This place reeks of the Wharf's fisherman charm. Perfect w/ a little tourist shopping afterwards to walk off dinner.

Best value on the wharf – I have been to this restaurant probably close to a dozen times and have been impressed each and every time. It was great when my dad's company had a anniversary dinner there with a large group and was even better going there with my girlfriend. The enironment is very cozy but be warned it can be a little drafty by the window. What I like the most about this place is the menu size, variety and price. It can be good for inexpensive dinners with great food startin at 15. They also have exquisite food i... read more

Family dining at it's finest – Wonderful seafood, charming atmosphere, good selection, good service, personal attention by the hostess and topped by the best Tiramisu I ever had!

Watch out for ... – Watch out for reviews that don't spell cioppino correctly. Also watch out for those that state something like "When we visited San Francisco," or a similar statement. Pompeii's would not be visited by a self-respecting local. If you are seated quickly in a restaurant at the wharf be very suspicious.
