My wife has been a patient of Dr. Drew Polson for approximately 2 years. The office has been consistently slow and difficult to deal with when it comes to obtaining necessary referrals and approvals needed by insurance. It has come to a disastrous head with my wife requesting an updated referral to her rheumatologist so that she can see him to obtain the medication that MIGHT help her live a functional life. Dr Drew Polson is a very caring, understanding, knowledgeable, sensitive, informative and a good listener. Every visit in the past twelve months has been a pleasant experience. Dr. Polson is patient, pleasant, knowledgeable, and respectful. He also sees my two teenagers and takes time to thoroughly explain issues and involves them in their health plan. They never feel talked down to, which unfortunately can happen with some doctors and teens. I have had several specialist referrals from Dr Polson and they have been handled quickly and correctly. Dr Polson is very patient in answering questions and spends time to making sure I understand what he is advising. He is very knowledgeable and wise in all areas of his practice.
I went to see Dr. Polson for a check up. I also needed to get a referral to see a dermatologist so that my insurance could cover the procedure. He was nice enough and told me that he would take care of the referral. Unfortunately here I am 7 months later facing a huge bill because I’ve had to go back and forth with his staff over an improper referral that they are now claiming I never requested in the first place even though the office I was referred to still has the improper referral they sent.
Very qualified and personable.
