I have been patronizing Pollinate Farm & Garden Supply for almost 2 years now... Yolanda is so very knowledgable and helpful in topics around raising chickens and other homesteading activities. Very warm and friendly atmosphere, and an awesome local place to support for cute and useful homesteading gifts!
Women owned, affordable and has everything for the urban gardener, chicken enthusiast or bee keeper. Love these guys!
What an amazing gift to my neighborhood. I have lived nearby for 25 years. I have learned about growing organic food, raising chickens, beekeeping, fermentation... and folks looking for hay bales in Oakland, who knew! Just as exciting to me has been meeting a community full of good folks. For over a year Yolanda opened up after hours so our neighborhood could meet and organize to get a community oriented independent coffee shop in the vacant storefront at the other end of the block ( fun and challenging ). Both Birgit and Yolanda are fonts of knowledge and extremely helpful, even when I ask the dumbest of questions :). I also like the fact that they have a reasonably priced delivery service, which I need for bales of straw and chicken feed, as I don't have a car.
