Excellent service.
Dr. Rosen puts her care to work. She’s an educator and a skilled provider. She remembers details and listens. Her patient, Dukito, senses this, too. Our situations have been complex…always. We work together to use behavioral practices, along with pharmaceutical help, as needed. We’ve had injuries and tumors…and joy and resilience! The plan changes as the situations improve. We’re proactive together. This makes a big difference to have a true partner in Dukito’s care. The staff overall is the super-helpful first tier!
I’ve been taking my English Bulldog here for years and love them. My dog is terrified of the vet from a bad visit at his previous vet but Polk Street Animal Hospital has always been amazing to him. Especially Vet Tech, Karen. She is amazingly kind and gently and so good at her job, she knows all the tricks to give him shots or have him take meds without scaring him, which is rare! Dr. Cote is amazingly kind too, very thorough and helpful! I highly recommend this place and I’ve tried multiple in SF!
Would not recommend to others. The admin is challenging and thankfully for us, it was mostly a nuisance and unfortunate lesson to not be trusting as a pet owner. It could’ve been much more problematic. Double check all your dogs records, service, care and ensure they are taking accurate records if you go here. On the more serious side, we received reminder emails for our dog to get a librela shot along with her other due reminders (allergy, annual check up) and we assumed it was a vaccine.
