I went to this Dr. because I have a history of epilepsy. I have been having headaches so I went to see him and didn't get very far. If you have any other issues besides epilepsy, don't waste you time like I did. Find a neuro. who has multiple areas of expertise.
The Dr. is very good listener & is very skilled on epilepsy. The staff however are very rude, and very uncoperative in taking messages, informing the Dr. of any problems with a patient. Very difficult to make an appointment or even receive a call back after leaving a message which they then claim they have no messages.
He took care of me at Overlook Hospital after I had septic shock and seizures in 2016, and I was assigned to him after my previous epileptologist left for a teaching position. I wish he had been my neurologist all along. He is a good listener, very reasonable, and helpful.
Extremely thorough and caring. Support staff are excellent also.
Dr Politsky is an excellent doctor. He has been treating my children for years. His waiting room is always full and his staff are very kind. He has always taken the time to explain everything to me and my kids think he is great. Sadly, it is mostly the chronically miserable people who are impossible to please that post truly unfair comments.
This md is a chronic liar and has really cost me alot due to his I don't care additude.
I had one appointment with Dr Politsky. The NP saw me first an took a history. Then Dr Politsky, came in and asked a few questions. He told me I was not having seizures, just stress . He ordered a very expensive video EEG. The test took 6 weeks to get back...you guessed it.. abnormal. I could have been driving and had another seizure! Unacceptable risk to patients and the public.
I have a history of multiple seizure types (grand mal with fever and complex partial) from age 9 months to age 12. Seizure free and off meds from age 12 to age 22. aborted complex partials at age 22 and put on trileptal for control and for mood stabilizer (mental health issues too). Seizure free until 2012 when complex partials returned. Found Dr Politsky in apr. 2013 and have been under his care since. He is a most thorough, caring neurologist.
