wanted to come here since i was 5 years old after watching john carpenters the fog... i was terrified of the film as a child but always wanted to go.. last year when i turned 40 i had the honour of getting to the lighthouse .. it was red hot that day and watched whales breaching out in the ocean.. just to complete a perfect day the fog horns went off on our way back up the stairs... thank you point reyes for making a childhood dream come true. xxx
The trails, the beaches, the wildlife, the wide expanses of -- wild! There's no place else on earth like it, in my mind. Every time I go back, I say to myself "Why don't I come here more often!" Today (March 14, 2015) I spent the day at Limantour Beach with a friend, and we saw the grey whales migrating north to Alaska. Breathtaking!
