BBVA intentionally opted former Simple customers into $3 a month paper statements without their consent, knowing full well there are a number of dormant/low balance accounts that will be hit with $38 overdraft fees once their "courtesy fee waiver" inevitably expires. This was a calculated decision by executives who knew that a given percentage of these new Simple customers that BBVA has absorbed will be hit with these fees and have to pay them back for fear of credit repercussions. Take your buissnes elsewhere. The manager here is the rudest, most disrespectful banker I've ever dealt with and not just at this branch but at two others the tellers and the managers are rude and disrespectful. The whole bank is a joke I have over 200k in my account and this jerk manager froze my account (nobody can tell me why either) and I've been dealing with customer service for over a week but nobody can understand freeze it. I will never taker a loan from this company again. First it was almost impossible to get a hold of a person unless your payment gets missed once in the entire three year loan. Second, they have had automatic payments on my loan since the start of this loan and then the last loan payment comes up and its not taken. I hear nothing until I get a late payment notice and additional ***** in late fees added. The person I do finally get regarding this just keeps saying "uh huh, uh huh. My wife and I had our (empty) Simple accounts automatically enrolled at BBVA. I am trying to cancel them, but the employee took all of my private information and hung up on me. Not before he came off of hold to mumble rap at me, and then surprisedly ask how he could help me after I asked him what's going on. I'll be watching closely for identity theft after this experience.

I started the process of applying for refinancing my mortgage in April 2020 with PNC Bank. It was by far the most horrific, agonizing, frustrating, disappointing business experience I have ever encountered in all my years. in trying to communicate with them, you would get an entirely different person than previous call an have to repeat the entire scenario and question. I would not even give PNC Bank one star! Unfortunately, they held the mortgage to my mother's house. June 14, 2021 the title company formally requested the payoff statement. Never heard from them, so they tried again. Still NOTHING! The morning of June 24, 2021, when my mother was scheduled to sign her closing papers, was the first we found out that PNC has ignored the requests for the payoff statement! BBVA ************* ************************************ This is my personal opinion and experience. I am a brand new card holder and so far no issues. The fraud department placed a hold on my card, which I do appreciate. The issue is the company did NOT communicate this. No phone calls, no e-mail. I logged into my online account and it simply shows "blocked" with a phone #. That phone # is not to the fraud department and it gives no reason for the "BLOCKED". I was a former Simple customer who was "forced" to move to BBVA. I was trying to update my cell phone number using both online and mobile app access. It tells me I have to call customer service. I get someone in **************. She can't do it so she tranfers to another person. He asked for all kinds of info - name, address, phone number (which I am trying to UPDATE), and account number. We called them and asked if we could set up weekly payments instead of monthly, the rep said yes!! And walked us how to on the app, a few months go by and I get a letter in the mail saying I haven't been making payments, I checked the app and we had made every weekly payment and was current..Come to find out the agent told us how to make principle payments only, which dosen't apply to the loan monthly payments...After Multiple calls from there collections department and working with there loan department was able to resolve ... read more
