PNC ISN'T WHAT IT USED TO BE. I opened accounts with PNC back around 2010 when I was very impressed with the way they helped me with my parents account when they got gravely ill. I was very happy with their service until, just before Covid, they started closing branches. Long story short, I moved to NC recently and my wife went into the local branch to get new checks with our new address. The branch mistaking printed the checks for the wrong account. Unfortunately pnc went down hill years ago and I took all my assets out of there after being a customer for over 40’years I am with another bank now.
The teller was very rude. He told me he was the only one working and that would take 45 minutes to a hour to verify my check. Not only was I there at 5pm on the dot but there was no one else there inside or drive thru. I was also told he couldn’t cash it unless I was a PNC member which the check clearly had pnc on it as the bank to go to. Very unprofessional I also called a representative and they said it was no reason he told me that and it shouldn’t have happened that way. For a fee he could have done it. Once again folks, it's Friday and there's only one person taking care of the drive through and one teller. The wait was ridiculous.
