Hands down the worst property management company I have ever dealt with. They are scandalous and dishonest and I cannot stress enough what hell it was dealing with them. The price was fair, the maintenance was fair but the leasing and billing part of the business are horrible. 4 months before my lease was up I started receiving emails that DEMANDED that I make a decision on whether I was renewing or not. Long story short, over the course of living in a Birdy-managed property for two years we had multiple major maintenance issues that they failed to remediate in a timely manner. Three times resulting in having to directly contact the company owner/President to get any movement on repairs. When completing our application we were told that “Birdy is a zero security deposit company” and we had to buy a policy through Rhino. This security deposit insurance would pay the property manager if we broke the lease or damaged the home.... read more
DO NOT USE BIRDY PROPERTIES. THEY ARE NON RESPONSIVE, DO NOT FIX MAINTENANCE REQUESTS AND FORCE YOU TO PAY FOR MANY NON RENT RELATED CHARGES SO THEY COLLECT ADDITIONAL ANCILLARY INCOME. IF OWNERS ONLY KNEW HOW THEY WERE RUNNING BUSINESS THEY WOULD HIRE A DIFFERENT COMPANY. IVE BEEN WAITING FOR A CALL BACK FROM THE VP FOR ALMOST 4 MONTHS. THE ONLY TIME YOU GET A RESPONSE IS IF THEY ARE TRYING TO BILL YOU FOR SOMETHING. When I was searching for properties Timikah was very helpful and professional. She quickly emailed a real estate agent contract then emailed me lots of properties in my price range the locations I was looking for. Timikah was able to show the properties at a time that was convenient to me. I would use Timikah If I am ever in the market again. If I have friends looking for properties I would refer them to her.

I am through expecting Birdy to improve their screening process to ensure renters they place into a home will actually pay rent. Over the last 10 years, 7 tenants have been evicted from my property and I have eaten those costs. Multiple months the property has been left empty or no rent was collected yet the tenant was able to continue to use my house. It benefits Birdy to not collect rent on time because they don't pay the owner until they receive payment from the tenant however they manage to also collect the late fees ... read more
