I was in Richmond with my husband and 4 kids on a field trip. As an avid knitter and with 2 kids that crochet, I saw that there was a fiber store and was excited to check it out. The woman working there was unwelcoming to my children. They were curious and were touching yarn, just as I was...just as ANYONE who walks into a fiber store does. You can't beat a company that is willing to help its customers as much as Ply does. The people there have helped me out at every turn and fiber arts need; even when the solution wasn't something they supplied. You will also fail to find better quality yarn in town. Check out this gem of a shop in downtown Richmond.
I love to stop in Ply and check out all of the wonderful yarns. I think it is great they offer the service to wind the skeins into cakes free of charge. Sam was very personable and I enjoyed my visit to this cute shop in Downtown Richmond on the Promenade. I will be stopping in again soon to show Sam what I made with the rainbow of CoSaBi yarn I recently purchased and couldn't wait to get home to my hook! I love visiting Ply Fiber Arts! Sam and John are an inspiration to the downtown as they have worked to create a beautiful store. They are passionate and knowledgable, patient teachers, and the atmosphere in their store is friendly and relaxing. Do yourself a favor, take a class at Ply!
