Food is classic mex american. But the staff is wonderful.
Chips were hard, enchilada wrap was soggy, chicken was tough, tamales were good. Margarita was watered down, server even ask if I needed a shot of tequila, and snickered. Server brought two tickets he ran with my credit card. One bill was for another table, total of $104. I advised him and he voided it. He already had a bad attitude and this was the final straw. Checked with the manager upon exit, who advised it was indeed voided. The server name on both tickets was: Oscar. Beware of this mistake!
Stop over in our travels back to Illinois. Good food & fast service was a plus.
Located in somewhat of a strip mall area….La Plaza is somewhat of a surprise as a slightly upscale Mexican restaurant. The furniture is detailed. The staff are very nice and the tortillas had a nice flavor from the grill. Only 4 stars just because the food wasn’t very hot. Some people were served fajitas at another table that were the customary “steam coming off” kind of heat. We didn’t though. We had a large group so I’m sure that added a challenge. My meal was not what I ordered. Chimichangas are deep fried🤣🤣🤣not just stuffed with leftover chicken and nuked!!! Barf
