I used to enjoy eating at this restaurant in the past but i recently went to have lunch with a friend and it was a horrible experience. First, when we received our food our order wasn't correct. We have dined here several times. It has consistently been excellent. The food, waitstaff, atmosphere, and prices are phenomenal. I dine out often and am very critical. I have not found one thing to complain about here.
Worcester's Best Mexican Food – You know how lots of reviews start out with "not your typical..."? Well, Plaza Azteca actually IS your typical Mexican Restaurant. They're the only Mexican place like this in town and they pull it off very well. The guacamole made to order at your table is awesome. We got extra jalapeno, and it was awesome. I absolutely love the tortilla chips & salsas they serve. It comes with 2 salsas and mixing them together is very very delicious. The taquitos were outstanding and my hungry hungry hippo dining companion ate all of a massive burrito dish and said it was delish. I don't doubt it. The only reason I went with 4 instead of 5 stars is that we had a bit of a wait to get seated which took about 10 minutes and we thought we were going to be seated right away. Miscommunication, I guess.
Good Margaritas, and awesome food. It is almost over the top Mexican-themed inside, but I dig it. Plaza Azteca is a first for Worcester - a good, traditional Mexican restaurant.
This is definitely the best Mexican restaurant in Worcester. Just don't fill up on the chips and salsa (they're very good!) while you're waiting for your meal. Excellent Margaritas, too.
