These are very oooollllldddd buildings (1926) with lots of maintenance issues all the time. We just had a notice posted that the hot water will be off for a month because they are replacing the pipes. How are we supposed to deal with that? It has already been off once or twice a week for several months. Staff is nice when you complain but it isn't like they are going to knock any money off your rent for tolerating this. Please Read Review: You do not want to live here – I created an account on this site just so I can warn future suckers who rent here. Ok, so the place is VERY charming. BUT you get what you pay for. The management will screw you over at every turn. My roommate and I got 5 different friends to rent from them (I now regret doing that to my friends) and they refused to pro-rate me out of my contract 1 week early. Regretfully Yours... – This is the WORST building ever!- NO parking!... plumbing frome the dark ages!... freight elevator never works... grubby hallways... half of maintenance staff look and act like ex-cons... office staff and management POINTEDLY disinterested in solving any issue. If you sign the required one-year lease for this con job, it will be a YEAR OF REGRET...

Horrible parking – The location and buildings are fine, but parking is horrible and management does NOTHING to help. Parking in a FREE parking structure that no one else has to pay to use costs Plaza residents $75 a month, and that does not even guarantee a parking spot, only 'allows' you to park there overnight - when the structure is almost empty anyway! Management does not help to get more reasonable rates or parking situations for residents, which is absurd considering how much it costs to live there.

Not Worthy of the Plaza Name – The Plaza is a wonderful place to live in Kansas City. The Plaza Apartment Center as a corporate entity is just that, a corporation. The exterior of the buildings is very nice. However, that is where I found the positive aspects came to a grinding halt. By Plaza standards, the interior of the seven buildings is only marginal. Great Place To Live! – I have lived in an apartment managed by the Plaza Apartment Center for almost a year and absolutely love it. No one can believe that I am able to live on the plaza for just $450 per month. There are a couple downsides- one, I do not have a dishwasher and two, with a parking spot at $75 per month, I have opted to park on the street, which is sometimes difficult to come by. Poor maintenance – I only lived there a year, but had problems getting maintenance to fix things. I once waited (locked in my apartment) for over three hours for maintenance to fix my door handle (for the third time) and let me out.
