This is the worst place I have ever lived. The only upside to this plaza is the beautiful river next to it. The management and people hired to fix issues within the apartment are impossible to get ahold of, and usually don’t fix anything for a few days. Our fridge broke multiple times over the year I lived there, as well as the heater during the coldest week of the year. I was only once discounted rent. Have been living here since April and feel massively hoodwinked. The apartments are very old to the point they are falling apart and understandably need massive renovations. Unfortunately for me that entire renovation is coinciding with my year long lease. The construction noise is unbearable and as someone who works from home, I'm at the end of my rope. I lived here for about 2 years, and just moved out. The good: -Beautiful location. I'll miss looking at the lush canal each day. -The neighbors. Friendly folks all around, and a large immigrant population (which I like!!). -The maintenance staff. My and my fiancé have lived in the plaza apartments for a year. Pretty soon after moving in, they closed off the majority of the parking garage that the apartments are on top of. My fiancé was told by fire Marshalls that were there inspecting the apartments that they were very unsafe to live in, that the apartments were in danger of collapsing and if it were up to them, they would have everyone evacuate. Love the atmosphere and accessibility of this complex! It is an aging building, so it isn't perfect. Parking is a lesser amenity, with garage clearance of less than 7' But if you clear it, it is a place to park out of the weather! I came in on a lease takeover and the tenant described it perfectly as "Ewok village-like." Management has been wonderful to work with!
