I took the Playing It Safe Home Inspection training class so I could become a home inspector. The class is focused on learning the material so you can pass the exams, which are fairly rigorous in my opinion. In addition, you get info and resources about setting up your business, marketing, etc... You also get access to Walt's decades of experience in this industry.
