My stay at Playa Largo Resort itself was decent, but the billing issues and the way the hotel handled them afterward have completely overshadowed the experience. Let’s start with the good. The hotel has a great location and is one of the few hotels in Key Largo with direct access to a beach that you can actually use. They have covered it with sand, and it feels really nice. Now for the downside. The hotel is expensive. Between the outrageous prices for food and drinks, plus taxes and tips, your budget can increase very quickly. We had a fabulous trip to Key Largo earlier this month and stayed at our favorite hotel, Playa Largo. We have made several trips to this hotel for location and amenities but mostly for the staff. We were so happy to see Sasha and Edwin at the Sand Bar again - they have taken care of us for several years and always with a smile and great conversation!
