The “We Know Canadians” ad campaign gives a short summary of a few of the many deeds of friendship Canada has offered the US. It hilariously misrepresents the landing on the beaches of Normandy as if Canada joined the US instead of the truth that Canada had been already there with the Allies (1939) way before the US ever joined the war (1941). The North Country Chamber of Commerce is quoted in a news article talking about the decline in Canadian tourists, and attributing it to Canadian "hurt feelings". I would suggest getting a better spokesperson, as this is just scratching the surface of the reasons as to why Canadians are choosing not to travel to America. As long as American businesses continue to ignore the threats to Canadian sovereignty, and the hostile administration, you will continue to see a decline in tourism from Canada. The North Country Chamber of Commerce has been a huge asset to my business. I want to give a special shout-out to Lisa. She helped us with health insurance, and made the process incredibly efficient.
