Saw Dr. Platt one time. He did not seem to know a great deal about my illness and yet disputed what my previous doctor had said about treatment and prognosis. Office was crowded and shabby. Found another doctor.
First appointment to establish care. The Nurse Practitioner was rude and condescending. She was more interested in arguing then listening. I had to get up and walk out of the appointment because all the nurse wanted to do was argue about what she missed heard. The Office manager wouldn't take a complaint. These are all signs of a super toxic and danger environment for the patent. Stay away if value your health.
Dr. Platt is a great doctor. I was referred to him so I was nervous about meeting. I was in need of a new PCP and was so relieved once I met Dr Platt and his staff. I couldn't believe how quickly I got an appt and there was no wait time in the lobby to see him. He was thorough and pleasant.
I spoke with the NP more than Dr. Platt (2 minutes tops). They wanted so much information from past medical visits it was crazy. It got to where they forced me to seek out every doctor I had been to in that time frame, every ER visit, every Urgent Care, ETC and personally call those places and have them fax over records just to prove I wasn't a drug seeking liar, which was a huge hassle. I will stick to MD's and stay away from DO's as they seem infinitely more compassionate. Waste of my time.
