Their jewelry is awesome and most of their staff is very friendly!!
Today it was a total hit and I left with the cutest dresses and flats for summer! The girl that helped me was pretty awesome allocating a fitting room for me and helping me peel clothes off manikins so I can try them on. I'm a huge fan of places like buffalo exchange and crossroads and am always trading in clothes when I do my annual closet clean out. Excellent consignment store. VERY well organized. Beautiful clothes, shoes for men and women. Much is for a younger population but I could definitely find some things like looks like new shoes that were very nice for a wedding or night out and for only $10. I am picky and I like this place very much. I have gone twice now.
I absolutely love buying VS, Free people, Vigos, and all those awesome brands for less than 30 ANY DAY.
I really love this store. I found so many cute purses in various styles and sizes. I bought three cute messenger-style crossbody bags varrying in color and style by Naturalizer,Kiplinger and LeSport. Then I found the cutest Dior wristlet I couldn't say no to. I also could not resist a really cute and roomy leather crossbody purse by Fossil. All practically brand new to extremely gently used. Every time I go in, the associates always greet me, even when they are busy helping other customers! The clothing selection is reasonable and the pricing is great! As far as "buying back" clothes, I didn't get the reasoning, but after talking to an associate...it did make sense on the clothing they were able to buy back. It really isn't up to the associates to "pick and choose" what "they" want to buy back...they go off a chart that is handed to them by their cooperation on what they can buy back! Me and my friend who was visiting from DC went in here. I found the CUTE-est sewater/jacket thing and was trying to take off my sweater, hold my purse, and try it on and a salesgirl asked me if I needed help and held my purse and sweater for me while I tried it on... loved it and love the fact that it was only 10 bucks and had the original tags on it... my friend got a shirt as well and they let me try on some of the Kangol hats behind the counter... we spent 18 bucks and some change and got 3 items.... were treated really w... read more
I have visited several more times since my previous review and I continue to be impressed with this Plato's Closet location. Yesterday I visited and found 2 Coach purses and a Harajuku Lovers bag, all very reasonably priced and in GREAT condition. Last week I got a Coach wallet for $15. Awesome. I have also met the owner and have not had any problems with her -- in fact, she has been nothing but friendly and always rounds up when stamping my frequent buyer card.
Even though I swore to never return in my last review, I gave Plato's Closet another chance and was pleasantly surprised. I took in several items to sell and made some decent money. Their clothing is stylish and looks brand new. The staff was much friendlier than the last time I was in (2009) so I'm hopeful that the negative reviews they got really made an impression.
