This place is a fuckin joke. Telling me my brand new stuff was “child size” and out of date. Idk who decides what is in style or not but it’s a joke. I drove over 30 mins to bring stuff and they didn’t take a damn thing.
I was pleasantly surprised by my first visit to Plato's closet after reading such mixed reviews. I thought the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! I was surprised that they didn't take some of the things I had brought, but I thought they gave me a very fair price for some of my shoes. As for their current inventory, I thought there was a ton of cute stuff to choose from – mostly in good condition but some had holes/significant wear – and very low prices. I have come here and loved this place until this last time. As a college student, I have cleaned out my room in Blacksburg and back home at different times and have then brought things here. This past time though, they told me that they couldn't take many of my items because I have come often and some of my clothes have tags on them. They made me feel very uncomfortable and seemed like they were accusing me of stealing and then bringing clothes there.... too bad I've never stolen anything in my life. This store is a joke/rip off! I took name brand items to sell and they took 3 items and gave me 3.00 for the items. Needless to say they will never get my business again!
I always walk out with $100 or more. Ive never been disappointed when leaving the store. This Plato's is way better than the one in Lynchburg! Ill drive to Roanoke before I take anymore of my stuff to the Lynchburg location(their a joke)!
