The issue turned out to be a clogged heat exchanger, which they cleared in about an hour after confirming the same cause from last year. Unlike previous visits where diagnosis took a while, this technician quickly pinpointed the problem and suggested preventative measures
Ducts repaired efficiently; no more noise.
The first company quoted me nearly twice as much for preventive A/C maintenance, so I sought a second opinion. This technician was thorough and explained that previous checks had missed a small duct obstruction, which they resolved in about an hour and a half.
The old thermostat was malfunctioning and I decided it was time for a replacement; the technician arrived on schedule, took about an hour to install the new one, and ensured it was properly calibrated before leaving. Compared to a previous experience where setup took almost twice as long due to some wiring confusion, this visit was much more efficient.
Before the work started, I coordinated with building management to ensure compliance with condo regulations, which took a couple of days. The technicians arrived on time, completed the installation in four hours, and double-checked everything before leaving.
