I arrived at the Grifols location at 1221 London Blvd. Portsmouth, VA at 2pm today April 21st . I was told that they were no longer accepting new patients any longer. I asked are you not taking any new patients today or no more at all? She said no more at all. I’m just reaching out to verify to see if she just said that because they were short in staff or if that is actually true.
I came here to donate for the first time, and I was talking to the person up front, giving him my info. He was nice at first, but then he asked for my house number. I gave it to him, and he still kept asking for my house number when I said it over and over. He gave me an attitude and gave me my stuff back and walked off. I was really disappointed and didn't understand why he treated me like this. I came from Octapharma Plasma. they would never do this. I'm still waiting on a protein test to come back. Said it would take 5 days. Called on day 7 and it still wasn't reviewed by the nurse. How long does it take for a plasma center nurse to check a protein level? Or how many nurses? The machines are also outdated compared to Octapharma up the road and are more uncomfortable on the return. Even the material on the donor chairs is kinda falling apart.
