If you're looking to combine the style of a bed and breakfast with the amenities of a hotel, the Planters Inn is a good choice. Formal and efficient, the inn is lodged in a 1912 brown brick structure, but inside, is nicely accented with antiques and fine furnishings. Among the pleasant charms of the inn are a well-maintained garden and an honor bar in the lobby, where guests may avail themselves of cocktails at their leisure, then simply mark their consumption in a ledger.

For the price this hotel charges, you would expect nice things. I understand some things are not controlled but just a terrible experience from walking in the tiny doors. And struggle to get in. To the dry unreceptive staff at the counter. To tell us that room service is on the third day lol. The parking garage is right next door. Which I can’t tell you how many times car alarms keep going off. To what I believe a garbage compactor or something extremely loud being operated at 2 am and 6 am. The hvac is dated and loud. Horrible!!! They offer a gym and do not have one, room was extremely musty and old smelling. Location was great but would never stay here again.
Nice staff, good location. Good large screen TV and cold AC. But…..This hotel needs renovating. Quaint and shabby chic, but the emphasis is on shabby. My room was spacious, but was not very clean. Beds were high up and too soft. Needs a paint job, more pictures on the walls….bathroom tiled floor ugly and old, no handicap railing for the shower, and the shower curtain had mold on the bottom. Hallways felt and looked the same. Lobby small, and no outside patio to relax on. For this price I would go elsewhere in the area.
Quaint inn on Reynolds Square. Very accommodating staff, polite, pleasant at all times (literally).
Overall a very good experience with the staff doing whatever they could to please. Unfortunately our room looked out onto a parking garage where cars entered and exited revving their engines very loudly at all hours. Also, the safe was broken. Although we asked a few times to have it fixed, it never was over a 3 night stay. Wonderful wine and cheese social week days from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Again, location was great and staff very accommodating. Would stay again but request a different facing room.
