I’ve been going to Dr. Bates for over 20 years. Very through, never rushed. Love that blood work and EKG are done onsite in his office. I actually no longer live on South Florida but I do fly back every year for my physical with Dr. Bates….
Always takes the time to make sure all health concerns are addressed. He has great staff and a wonderful friendly front desk greeter that has been there for many years. Smaller office that everyone knows your name.
At a lot of doctor's offices, you wait around for a long time, the doctor pops in the exam room for 3 or 4 minutes, rushes through the exam and treatment plan, and then disappears pretty quickly after that. With Dr. Bates, I have never felt like he was rushing. He asks questions, listens, and thoroughly goes through a treatment plan. He also generally tries to relate your issue to something that he has experienced or someone that is close to him has experienced, which makes you feel more at ease with treating the ailment.
After seeing full waiting room and people walk out prior to appointment, I was skeptical of the front desk’s response that there would be no wait. I eventually got to a room waited another hour and left. Was rescheduled for an early morning appointment before 8 and waited a half hour and was leaving again when they called the doctor who was sitting in his office, not reviewing my chart as he said. Medical advice came only after I started questioning blood results. Better suited as a friend than a doctor
Dr Bates is amazing. When I visit him he is very personable and sits and converse with me about my health and life. He is great at what he does and I couldn’t have asked for a better physician
