I am so grateful for everyone at Planned Parenthood. The quality of care I have received here is truly unmatched. Never has a health provider made me feel so welcome, heard, and seen. Losing this facility is a devastating blow to the community, and will leave many of us without access to necessary screenings and services.
The care I've received here has shown me what healthcare should really look like. The staff are very welcoming and really listened to me as a patient, wanted to know how my day was while providing support and treatment for what I needed. Doctors visits can be really intimidating especially gynecology visits and STD testing, and this is a very safe space for anyone to go to and think more people will be treated and educated properly if we have a place to go where we feel comfortable. Thank you for all you do!
Planned Parenthood has always been my go to for anything reproductive health related. Dr. Rink and the entirety of the staff here are nothing short of courteous and respectful every single time I have to go in for anything from STD testing to getting my IUD to screening for cancer. Planned Parenthood in Marquette is valuable to our community. In a whole, PP helps with numerous events. They are always present during pride, they provide sexual education, they help individuals explore who they are, and they are the only/best location to provide care in the UP. On a personal level, I was assaulted last summer. I had no one to turn to and no where to go. I went to PP. Planned Parenthood was the first clinic I went to at 16 years old to receive birth control to try and help with horrific periods I was experiencing. These cycles would make me physically sick, even having to leave school at points it got so bad. They helped me with accessing birth control and made me feel like a normal teenager again. Even at 32, I remember my experience and I would hate for other women who need help to not easily receive the care I was able to obtain.
