Dear Planet Fitness Management, I am writing to report a very serious safety concern at the Planet Fitness location in Vaughan. During my visit, I witnessed a person inside the gym who appeared to be carrying a knife. This was extremely frightening and made the environment feel unsafe for members and staff. It's a pretty decent gym. They have some really good equipments and now even the squat rack (was really hoping they'd get this and they did!). The membership is affordable and it's super convenient. I definitely find it absurd that there is no weighing scale. But that's okay. The down side to it are the people you come across at the gym (not the staff, they are really nice, never had any issue with them, even the enrollment was smooth). Terrible, the staff here is unbelievably rude. was here tonight and called out by a young woman in front of everyone because her “manager” told her to do so. Wasn’t doing anything wrong, when you’re being watched your entire workout it’s bound to be a bit uncomfortable.
Horrible gym. I have been a member here for a long time and the one time my account got closed they charged me $25.00 on top of my regular membership fee as a punishment. When I fixed the issue and asked for the $25 back I was told no? Even Auto insurance companies in ON refund you the first time you have account issues. I will be ending my membership and I am very disappointed in how money hungry this corporation is. You lost a long time client because you cant refund $25.00.
