Great first experience Ive been away from bikes for years and when I ventured into the shop.I was greeted by Matt who was extremely helpful and listened to me . I had mentioned that I was interested in a basic road hybrid bike and though, he didn't ask. I mentioned my budget was between 450 and 500 dollars. Current Employee I have been a employee of Les Plaines for three years and i have never found any of the things Richard Rathan is saying to be true. The poor review written by Richard Nathan is not because of any poor customer experiences but rather because of a personal grievance with Les the owner.
employee I have been an employee of Plaine and son for over six yrs. and there is a gentleman by the name of Richard Nathan that has written very poor reviews about this establishment that are very untrue! It states that the owner will cheat you which is very false. He also is degrading the integrity of the service shop. Loyal Employee The below review of Plaines simply is not a just nor accurate description of the shop. Having worked at the shop for a number of years I understand how this review can seem biased. Les is obligated by his dealer agreement to honor all manufacturer warranties and has done so on more occasions than almost any store in the area. Stay Away! Be very careful with this shop. Also, carefully read the reviews. They are mostly populated by the owner Lesley Plaine (Les P.) and previous employees (how have since been fired) Les has trashed this, once respected, shop. He's fired almost every honest and quality person. He badgers his customers and embarrasses his employees public. There is nothing at this shop that cannot be bought somewhere else. The place to go for your gear! The owner, staff and selection are all great. It is the best neighborhood multi-sport bike/ski shop in the area. You can find a bike in every price range and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
