Reasons NOT to ever stay at a Placemakr property. It is not a hotel. It is a couple of guys taking unrented apartments and converting them into short term rentals. Why does that matter? Let me tell you about our experience at their Buzzard Point property in Washington D.C.1. They do not honor reservations. They agreed to hold a block of 50 rooms for us for a wedding reception. This is a great hotel/apartment style accomodation that's great for business travel or an extended stay. This location has an expansive communal area with a gym that overlooks the city, a pool, meeting rooms, and multiple spaces to relax. The location is close enough to Broadway (or Honky Tonk Highway) that you can do the touristy stuff, or slow down and visit local highlights such as the river, Third Man Records, the Frist Art Museum, and the Gibson Garage.

It is not what the internet shows the rooms are like an elementary school room no carpet no local tv and seems to show as a 4 star we are from kingman az and 40 min from vegas it is far from a 4 star. It is trying to be modern it's an old building converted to a hotel don't waste 2 or 3 hundred a night i promise if u have stayed in a real 4 star for 2 to 3 hundred u will be very disappointed I promise. Sorry but true

Don’t stay here. The restaurant is closed, the minimart is closed, and it’s in an area that you can’t get to any of those conveniences easily. We prepaid for the room on Expedia/hotwire and they refused to accept that as we were checking out and are now trying to make us double pay for the room. They made us very late for somewhere we had a reservation because of being stuck here trying to check out. Then after waiting 20 minutes going back and forth they realized it was already paid for. The theory of this place is cool, but poorly executed. We requested early check in but were required to pay a $50 fee. We opted to wait until later and the room was obviously not cleaned- garbages were full, toilet paper in the bowl, soap hardened to the sinks and the broom was laying across the floor. Floors were filthy. The key codes instead of keys were okay- however, they completely reset and we were unable to get to our room on our last day.
