Usually pretty reliable place to eat before seeing something at Lincoln Center . The host and particularly the hostess were very friendly and super efficient. The hostess even came back later and asked us how everything was . She was truly delightful. Our server was friendly and funny and took good care of us . The calamari appetizer was tasty . My steak au poivre was delicious as were the gold Yukon mashed potatoes. The food is always good , but the experience depends on which waiter/waitress you get . Most are really great... read more

Great historic restaurant with a great atmosphere, super service, very good menu and quality food and beverages. It is best to have a reservation or get there before 6pm. If ever in NYC put a visit to P J Clarkes on your itinerary.
