RecommendedBy far the BEST doctors I’ve seen. They take their time with you, are very thorough. And they actually CARE about you as a person, and care about your concerns. The office staff have all been so pleasant and helpful. I would truly recommend them to any and everyone!
Very disappointed in Pittsburgh Gastroenterology. Was scheduled for a colonoscopy on 8-7-19 at St. Clair hospital. I chose St. Clair because I have both kidney disease and diabetes. My procedure was scheduled for 11:15am. At approximately 12:35pm the nurse came back to say the doctor had an issue with a patient and my procedure is being delayed. At that time, I was feeling very lightheaded. At 12:45 I told the nurse I was really feeling some I'll effects from being delayed and I was sure I was hypoglycemic. The nurse offered... read more
I struggle with rating this practice so I will give them 3 stars. The doctors are wonderful, skilled, and caring and I highly recommend them (4-5 stars worthy). On the other hand, the practice totally lacks a functional, patient-friendly scheduling department (0-1 star at best). I agree with the remarks of Jason B. Trying to connect with scheduling for this practice is a nightmare. I really like the doctors so I endure the torture to connect for an appointment or to get a question answered. Great practice. Outstanding group of doctors! Very nice staff. Have been a long-term patient and they make a difficult procedure as easy and comfortable as possible. Adding the CRNPs has allowed more patients to get in for office which has sometimes been difficult in the past because they are the best and therefore busiest group in Western PA.
Disastrous. Took 3 months of calling to get an appointment. Scheduler was rude. The day of the appointment, the procedure was a routine over 50 screening and that was discussed. They billed it as a diagnostic procedure which made my deductible apply costing me $500 out of pocket that I should not have had to pay. The advice the doctor gave me was "just take Imodium everyday and that will solve your issue". Seriously???? They should lose their license to perform anything medical.
Follow up to my last review. It's been more than a month of calling and nobody ever answers the phone. Today someone answered and said all of the schedulers are on the other lines please hold. A couple minutes went by and the same person got back on and said, the schedulers are all busy please leave a message and I was back to voicemail. I have never worked so hard to become a patient somewhere in my life. Called for two days straight and the phone system wouldn't connect me to anyone. I finally get a chance to leave a message on day 3 and I don't hear back. I faxed them a request to call me so I could see a doctor and finally got a call. Woman I spoke with was miserable and mean. Wouldn't even talk to me since I didn't have my insurance policy number on me. Had to call back and well two more days and not able to reach a doctor. May have the best doct... read more
We had been in emergency room and we were told to follow up with GI which were already a established pt at the office I called multiple times had to leave messages over 2 days to make appt spoke with the front desk staff explained to what was going on and she transferred me to appts scheduling again left a message to make appt I finally called probably the 6th time in 2 days and got someone in scheduling for her to tell me she had to take a mesasage for the Dr to see if the Dr wanted to see us the Dr called stated he wan... read more
