I was the third person waiting and arrived 15 minutes early. Only two people were ahead of me, but when the receptionist opened the door, she gave me an appointment time four hours later. When I returned at the scheduled time, I still had to wait one more hour, while many other people were treated before me. Honestly, I don’t understand the system of this clinic. It felt like a complete waste of time.
Arrived early, first in required line, waited in negative 20 temps for an hour before the door opened and by noon I was still waiting while every person behind me in the line was seen along with every subsequent walk in, even que jumpers before the door opened. Later, I discovered why and it has to do with what gets billed to OHIP and what a tax payer has to pay out of pocket - guess which one is more and it's obvious who gets seen first. I'm writing to share my experience at this clinic, where Dr. Laferriere is holding it down solo 🥶. This man is in his 80s and deserves a standing ovation for still seeing patients! However, it's clear he needs some help. The waiting room was packed, and understandably so - he's the only doctor on duty. He was doing everything on his own: attending to patients, printing papers, cleaning up injection waste... it was a lot.
