RecommendedMy son was recently a patient there and we received AWESOME care from excellent nurses and doctors. He was treated not only n north tower but also by emergency room staff. We also visited the Coffee Shop in main lobby where we had wonderful meal. The ataff there were very helpful and served delicious food.

My sister, a vulnerable female, was assaulted as a patient at Vidant Pitt. I came to visit and she had a black eye. The staff said it was a “freak accident”. She was moved from her unit as I was informed by the Physician last week. After driving from Raleigh today to visit her, staff are now telling me she is not in the hospital. The clinical administrator was of no help and acted as if I was a troublemaker. I was called by my doctor and told that my pancreatic enzymes were way high and to go to the ED and tell them my dr sent me. I got there at 6 PM and sat in the lobby until 10 PM before going to a room. I asked about my dr sending me and they didn't say anything. They took blood after a couple of tries and started an IV. the nurse gave me 3 meds in my IV. one of the meds caused me to have pain my chest and difficulty breathing. I asked the nurse what he did. Best Nurses and Doctors! As a matter of fact please send a team from the Behavioral Health Unit to Southern California to help the burn victims. This is a bad burn and some are going to go insane if we do not help them. Nurse Beverly is the best. She saved my life.
Vidant is a wonderful hospital!!! Everyone was so nice and helpful. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful medical Center and teaching hospital so close by...I just wish that you would purchase Wilson Medical Center. We are very glad that you are opening a facility in Wilson though. Thank you for such good care!!!

They need some organization within their ER department. I came in by EMS waited 6 hrs. patiently for my turn to be called back to Triage. Just to find out they did not have my name in the system. The nurse in impatient insisted that I left. After me and my finance explained I had been there the entirer time she said we can retake your vitals and you should be next called back. I watched about 8 ppl. called back before I finally left because I needed to lay down. They need to get it together.
