I have been impressed with Dr. Joshua Mares and the entire team at Pioneers Medical Center from the very beginning of this process. I traveled to Meeker for a total knee replacement because I wanted the right surgeon and the right hospital, and the level of care has exceeded my expectations at every step. The surgery, communication, follow-up, and attention to detail have all been excellent. What really drove it home for me happened three weeks after surgery. I've had opportunity to visit the emergency room on more than one occasion recently and found the staff to be both knowledgeable and compassionate. I've also had an overnight stay associated with one of those ER visits. The room service food was way better than any restaurant in town! Not your normal hospital food. Very much appreciated.

Most all of the negative review I read are between a year and 7 years ago. I had a double spinal surgery so my experience is with that part of the hospital. I was treated very well. I am also healing very well. The staff is kind and very knowledgeable. My mother was in a hospital in Grand Junction CO after her stroke. She buzzed them several times I finally went and found someone letting them know she really needed to use the bathroom, they told me she was just going to have to wet her bed. The kitchen does not give you what you want we asked for no cheese and they added it and we also asked for curly fries and they didn’t tell us if we wanted normal one or tater tots

Went into the ER for having blood in my urine and they turned me away. Telling me to come back tomorrow.
