My husband had Prostate cancer, Dr Pinkhasov was monitoring his numbers......after the last biopsy the numbers had changed dramatically and the decision for surgery was proposed to us. I could not have asked for a more informative and compassionate Dr, than Dr Pinkhasov. The surgery was done, the cancer was taken care of, and my husband is on the mend. Dr Pinkhasov and his staff were wonderful. I highly recommend Dr Pinkhasov to anyone who needs the services of a Urologist, he's wonderful!!
Some 4 years ago, my psa numbers went up, so I was referred to Dr Pinkasov. Though the numbers were elevated, the doctor recommended we monitor the numbers for the time being, rather than take drastic action. Fast forward three years....Dr Pinkasov noticed a further elevation of psa numbers, and discussed with me the options for treatment. We visited the doctor on two occasions, and each time we never saw him, only the Nurse Practitioner. On our first visit the doctor was called away for surgery, so we made another appointment to see him personally to discuss my husbands surgery. Our second visit we waited for over an hour to see the doctor he never came, again we saw the Nurse Practitioner. We will tell others to find another doctor. And we will not be going back to him again.
Dr Pinkhasov and staff were unprofessional, arrogant, and uncaring. I declined to have Dr Pinkhasov perform a TURP to reduce the size of my prostate; instead I went to Northwestern University, Dept of Interventional Radiology, Chicago for a different procedure that was less invasive and promised an easier recovery. I developed UTI complications after 6 weeks and was seen by Leah Shetler, Dr Pinkhasov's PA. Wonderful Doctor I will recommend him and his Nurse Practitioner Michael to everyone!! I have not met such caring Drs in years!
When checking in, another patient had same appointment time as mine. Waited 25 minutes to be taken back into the exam room, was told Dr. will be right in. Twenty minutes later he comes in and gives me great news in 2 minutes (which I have no complaints with) and says the nurse will be in to give me my shot. Ten minutes later she comes in and does a great job. No complaints with staff or doctor. It's just that every time I have an appointment with the doctor, it is usually an hour spent. Dr. Pinkhasov was very patient and performed patient care with the upmost professionalism. I would recommend to anyone who needed a specialist in urology.
A very positive outcome with procedure. A very compassionate doctor that visited me in the hospital eventhough it was his weekend off for follow up.
So thankful I was referred to him and proceeded with the options given to me.
