Apparent price gouging in Punta Gorda FL 4/2025 and for the last few years = 20lb propane tank refills: $28.99 + tax. Nearby competitor (equally filled 4.7 gallons full tank) $18.29 + tax. ¿Nice store. Really friendly employees. I am sorry I took this long to post a review. But I cannot be Happier with the help I received Alyx and Jessica at Pinch-a-Penny in Punta Gorda. All of a sudden, I found horrible stains on areas of my pool that appeared overnight. I was told that he had to do with copper and that I needed to empty my pool and do an acid wash. I thought that was too drastic and also could compromise the integrity of the plaster in the pool so I stopped buy them and show them the pictures. I knew what I needed but the older gentleman had the attitude of, "I'm a man and know more than you." Argued with me about what I needed for my pool. I bought what he said he knew I needed, drove home and it didn't fit. I was right and he was wrong. I had to drive all the way back up there to exchange. I won't use this store anymore. This isn't the first time I've had issues here. Didn't know that each store is different.
