Pilar's Catering does not deserve a rating of 1 star, this caterer deserves zero stars for the way she scammed so many couples during what was already such a stressful time due to Covid-19. Unfortunately, like many other couples my husband and I paid a 30% deposit and then paided an additional 20% for the late night promo. We lost over $6000.00, didn't receive any services and were never notified of the business closing. I'm glad there is some light being shed on this matter and hope that justice will be served.
Has yet to refund my wife and I 6000 dollars as we are not able to have a reception due to covid 19 restrictions. Force majore clause doesnt mean anything apparently.
Scammed and frauded a lot of people out of money. Yes us included.
I found out today through these reviews that Pilar’s Catering is no longer in business… To say we are disappointed/frustrated/shocked is an understatement. We never received anything from Pilar indicating that she was going out of business. As standard practice, we put a 20% deposit down to secure Pilar's services for our wedding catering for a July 2020 wedding. Pilar approached us for additional funds in order secure a discount of our late night table. We agreed; and total deposit paid to Pilars was 50%. Then COVID hits. We change our date to August 2021 and Pilar confirmed our date and advised all was set for the new day.
