We stayed 4 nights starting Sept 10, 2026 at Pike’s waterfront lodge in Fairbanks, Alaska. Booking process at Hotels.com was great. However not satisfied with the hotel. The front desk staff is curt and in a rush to dismiss you. The room we got was not good, in the sense that it was the room above the laundry and the only view we had out of the window was the roof of the laundry. When we asked for a room change, we were told that site I booked through only books a standard room. But this was the ONLy 1 room above the laundry... read more
10/10 hotel experience. The staff was exceptional and extremely accommodating! Fire Pits all over the property to enjoy smores!! Wow! Beautiful reindeer too! Views were amazing on the water front.
It was a kind of weird place, split between two buildings. It has the potential to be kitschy in a good way, but that ended once you get to your room. We really only chose it because of its proximity to the airport, free shuttle, and the 4x4 car rental being in the same building. The shuttle driver was super nice! We were there in December - January and were taking a trip north on the Dalton. Our first room was very loud, uncomfortably warm, and pretty dusty. There were no places for snowy coats or boots. Nice place you stay. Plenty of activities, especially for kids.
Beautiful property. The rooms are dated but the comfortable beds make up for it. Right on the Chena River. Plenty of outdoor sitting areas with firepits Breakfast buffet is delicious and fresh. The restaurant on site is a must try with a view of the river and the 6 reindeer they have on site. Very happy with this place.
