A Must-Visit — We Came Back 3 Times! This was our first time visiting during our week-long stay, and we enjoyed it so much that we ended up coming back three times! From the delicious food to the warm, inviting atmosphere, everything made us want to return again and again. The cinnamon rolls are absolutely amazing—whether you prefer them with pecans or without. I walked in to Pil-Nik Deli for the first time yesterday to a few people dining and no one working there spoke to me at all. No instruction or a hello. Nothing. We sat down at the bar area for several minutes and finally I asked one of the cooks behind the counter the protocol and they said to sit and wait until we knew what we wanted then tell the person at the front what we wanted. I have to say, the Captain D’s Po Boy at PikNik was absolutely delicious! The combination of the crab and shrimp makes every bite so satisfying, and the whole sandwich comes together perfectly. The sandwich was packed with flavor, fresh and satisfying without feeling overly heavy. This is definitely not your ordinary sandwich. It was so good I’m already looking forward to having it again!
