Although the staff was kind, the food did not match the hype. Pork was bland and green beans tasted like rubber. The BBQ sauce was vinegar based, which wasn't bad if you could look past the sour taste. Food came back up within 10 munutes due to the greasiness. Overall, neither my husband or I were impressed.
My favorite place to eat in OBX. I bring sauces and dry rub home with me every time I visit. I would recommend stopping anytime you're in the OBX!

Went there on Wednesday. Had a tender brisket sandwich and great fries!
I got the half rack of ribs. It was so tender, the meat just fell apart and the bones were soft. Sauce was great! Thanks for a great dinner!
Best I had been too when visiting! Gluten free for my kiddo too! She really enjoyed fries she didnt have to worry about cross contamination. Pigmans is the best...did I say that yet?
First time eating here while vacationing at the outer banks! Good food! Family atmosphere !

I got the smoked half chicken with beans, coleslaw, and hushpuppies. The chicken was cold and luke warm all over and sat in a puddle of water on the plate. The slaw was meh and the beans were cold. As for taste, the chicken was very dry, no taste what so ever, and the sauce wasn't good either. As my boyfriend descibed it, "Off brand bbq sauce mixed with vinegar." Also the hushpuppies didn't really have a taste, they were just meh. I had high hopes for this place but was let down.
