We had a group of 16 on the 4th of July. Many of us hadn't been in a canoe for 20+ years and it was some of the kids 1st trip. Great flow to the river, depth was good, nice sandy/rocky bottom. This group will grow next year by 20. We had a blast.
Best campground around... great owner/operator.... great prices too...
We had a fantastic weekend on our first visit to Pigeon River Canoe and Camp. The campsite placement (right on the river, nicely spaced out) and price were great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I read some comments about the bathrooms, but we had no problem with them. The port-a-potty closest to our campsite was clean, and they have newer bathrooms and showers by the main office. We'll definitely be returning!
It was an awesome adventure. Team work and cool water. Testing trust and friendships. We took a nice 4 hour trip that turned into 9 picnicking and enjoying the river and lakes. No complaints just happy and tired canoers.
