Too expensive for the quality of food and drinks. Nice atmosphere.
Arrived 5 mins before reservation but couldn't be seated "because kitchen was not open yet...however when the hostess got us in the lounge and seated us in dining room eventually, a table of four already had food on the table. (That table and ours were the only diners). Charcuterie board looked like and tasted like it was from the grocery store. Clam chowder was tasteless and gritty. Onion soup was too salty. Lovely, somewhat secluded place to have a drink away from the more touristy hubbub of Rockport’s town center. Very fair drink prices. I can’t comment on the food because we did not eat. Part of the reason we did not order food is because one of us was vegan and they had only one vegan option.
You can't ask for a better view, especially if you get a table on a porch. It is lovely and peaceful with a vast ocean view. I enjoyed the pigeon cove chowder and duck confit. The triple chocolate cake was very good. There is a parking lot for guests in the back, so parking is not a problem.
We had dinner on the veranda. It overlooks the water, I can't imagine a better place to be on a warm summer night. Had the clam chowder and the seafood casserole, both very good and the triple chocolate cake for desert which was terrific.
