What are we doing as a society? Now BBQ is getting McDonaldfied? No service exists if all you’re doing is placing an order on my phone and someone just drops your food off. Do you offer beer? My boyfriend ordered a large meal from Pig in a Pickle while I went next door to get a wrap because I have dietary restrictions. We then sat at one of the many completely empty outdoor tables while waiting for his order. The second I started eating my wrap, an employee came over and told me that outside food was not allowed and that I needed to move. As a Midwest man, I was not expecting much from a BBQ joint in California. This place has proven me delightfully wrong. The brisket was melt in your mouth tender with excellent sauce choices and the fluffiest homemade milk bun you could imagine. The cornbread and Mac and cheese were done extremely well, and the prices weren't too bad. The only complaint is the ordering system. They don't seem to support just talking to a waiter. Terrible experience. Rude hosts, was very dirty inside and we should have turned around before we even sat down. We ordered food off their QR code, our daughter is young and allergic to eggs, they didn't have much for her beyond some chicken we ordered, so we bought a small French fry across the way and they wouldn't let a two year old eat fries while we ordered a $100 of food for 3 adults.
