Mmmmmmmm, Pietro's.... ughghghghghgh (insert Homer Simpson drooling noise here). – I love this pizza. I guess you are always partial to "your" pizza place from when you grew up. For me and my friends it was Pietro's on West 11th in Eugene. We had Abby's, we had Papa's, and I guess there were others I didn't care to know about... but no one had that bubbly-chewy pizza crust with the crispy bottom. Great atmosphere and service – My wife and I stopped in yesterday for dinner and we enjoyed a great meal with quick and good service. The place had a great feel, was clean, had great pizza and at reasonable prices. I am not sure why the previous reviewer had issues. We did not experience anything of the sort. Perhaps the reviewer was looking for Chez' Pietro's? We dine out quite a bit and I have noticed that people these days mix up the term service. major tude! – the food is ok. over priced for what it is. and let alone, we should be getting paid or getting a deal for the attitude you have to deal with when ordering from these people. i have called in orders about 3 times with in 6 months. everytime i get a person with serious attitude. sorry but its service that counts and what brings people in and keeps them there. i dont even want to order from there any more. ive given it 3 chances already. everytime the same thing but different person. is there a rude person qualif... read more
Really Bad Service – We went there as a Family so that our daughter could enjoy the kids games. With each win you get more tickets which you use to buy prizes. My daughter wanted a toy that was displayed but was told they were out. The person behind the counter said the manager told him they were out. When I asked her about it she displayed a poor attitude and stormed off. She returned a few minutes later with several of the toy in question and slammed one on the counter in front of my girl. Yummmmmmmmmy – Awesome pizza, awesome setting, just like my childhood, popular restaurant in my hometown until they closed up shop - so having one nearby now is great!
Best Pizza in Town – Takes me back to childhood. I went here with my family as a child and now take my kids here. Love the pizza best of all. I go out of my way for Pietro's. I enjoy the newly remodeled building. My kids have a lot of fun in the playroom.
it now looks like a taco house inside – I remember the old red and gold wall paper and victorian furniture it was a great place. they removed all of the period furnishings and wall paper and have painted the walls with bright yellow red green and orange, the nastalgia is gone. pizza was not all that great. it was better about 15 yrs. ago. it was a very romantic place till all the changes
Ah... the days of childhood – I remember going here as a kid. I loved the atmosphere, the pizza and everything else about it. It hasn't changed much and that is one reason I still go to Pietros.
"American Style" pizza. – Pietro's will never get awards for having an authentic Italian taste, but that's besides the point. What they do offer is great, and I am not usually a "pineapple and Canadian bacon" fan--but there's something about Pietro's version that makes me want more. THe last time we went here, the salad bar was devoid of lettuce, we didn't recieve forks, and the soda machine was out of syrup.
