what else can be said of such a historically beautiful and famous hotel that hasn't been said before? Old world elegance ,great service ,great food and a prime location across from central park .My Favorite hotel in the city.
Based on the history of this hotel and its 5-star rating, I had high expectations and was sadly disappointed. The amenities are lacking. No irons or steamers in the rooms. No options available to reheat food such as a microwave (although the rooms have fridges for food). The staff was not very accommodating. The only decent service was from the doormen who were friendly and helpful. I travel a lot and often stay at 5-star hotels so in comparison to other places I have stayed in NYC, this was by far my least favorite. This wi... read more
Nice but bathrooms need an update. European feel and large rooms. Great service
The location is fantastic. There is the sweetest woman named Khady that works in the elevator and she is wonderful. Those are the only good things I can say about this hotel. We've stayed here multiples times per year for the last 6 years & it has been consistently worse each time.
