From the first meeting jumping into terrible news to the last time saying her way or the highway. Rude, cold. There are so many better ways to have a conversation about a cancer patient’s options! She used her name in the third person which I find pretentious and annoying. I’m so glad she suggested FMLH as a second opinion. Great folks at FMLH
It’s been several years and I might say more than several years. I had my Lumpectomy in December 19, 2000 and started seeing Dr Pierce the beginning of January 2001. She put me right at ease. When I lost my insurance she said that i was to come in no matter what! She wasn’t with Aurora then but the Cancer Center. She was remarkable and caring
Dr. Pierce had the worst bedside manners I've EVER experienced when bringing in my father in law for a consult. We had to rush him straight to Froedtert from that terrible appt where he was immediately admitted for care. I myself worked for Aurora as a physical therapist for over 10 years! Knowing this is an isolated incident, I don't generalize this opinion toward Aurora as a whole. Made a formal complaint about our experience with Dr. Pierce/staff without a satisfactory resolution as well.
I could never find the appropriate words to let you know just how special Dr. Pierce was to our family. Dr. Pierce treated my mother for lung cancer and she was so kind, compassionate and thoughtful. She puts her patients above everything and makes herself available to them and their families 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We are eternally grateful for her care to our mother as we found out when you treat the patients you also treat their families. Thank you Dr. Pierce!
Dr. Pierce's bedside manner was rude and very hurried. She did not take the time to address the emotional aspect of what she was suggesting was "wrong" with me. After waiting a half hour beyond my appointment time, she spent 5 minutes demanding that I schedule an appointment for an invasive procedure without explanation of what to expect or why she was suggesting the test. The human element was completely absent from this appointment.
