As an expecting mother, I was incredibly disappointed by my experience. My anatomy scan is a once-in-a-lifetime milestone, and I was looking forward to sharing it with my family. Instead, I was told that my 1-year-old daughter counted as one of the two allowed visitors, meaning my husband, our daughter, and my mother couldn't all be there to experience this special moment with me. Very disappointed with this office's visitor policy. We went in for our baby's anatomy scan, and they would not allow my wife, our 1-year-old daughter, me (the father), and my mother-in-law to all be present. Somehow our 1-year-old counted as one of the two allowed visitors, which makes absolutely no sense. An anatomy scan is one of the most special moments of a pregnancy, and instead of celebrating together as a family, we were forced to split up. The Ballantyne office is great, with wonderful doctors and staff. Dr. Alvarez is very knowledgeable, kind and has a great bedside manner. I was super nervous for my ultrasound and Kimberly, the Ultrasound Tech, was so sweet and compassionate. She made sure to reassure me right away that there was a heartbeat and made me feel comfortable. Hands down incredible staff and experience.
Dr. Pillai consistently provides compassionate, clinically informed care. I have referred her to family and coworkers who all are appreciative of her skills and temperament. She has made me feel well taken care of at all stages of life from my 30’s to now my 50’s, and most notably her skills for the challenging symptoms of perimenopause. This is not common in today’s healthcare environment. Thank you Dr. Pillai!
